What installation covers
Pool Pump Installation Option Details: Covers replacement of an existing pool pump only. Includes up to 5 feet of pipe and 4 fittings for plumbing connections. Electrical work includes connection to the existing electrical cable only — does not include rewiring or running a new cable. Service available in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe counties. (Please note that installation costs are not included in the equipment price. Installation services are sold separately.)

Warnings and Disclaimers
- Electrical Setup: This pump supports high-voltage multi-phase power. Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician to avoid fire, shock, or permanent motor damage.
- Flow Dynamics: Due to the massive 5 HP output, suction and return plumbing must be sized appropriately (minimum 2.5" - 3" recommended). Undersized pipes can cause cavitation and excessive vibration.
- Safety Entrapment: High-performance pumps require dual main drains and/or an SVRS to prevent suction entrapment. Do not operate if drain covers are missing or cracked.
- Prime Check: Never run the motor without a full prime. Dry running will destroy the mechanical shaft seal and can lead to motor overheating.
- Energy Dial-In: Use the variable speed settings to find the lowest possible RPM that keeps your water features or heater active. Even a 200 RPM reduction can save significant amounts on monthly power bills.
- Oversized Advantage: The XF strainer basket is huge for a reason. Even with heavy debris, the design maintains flow longer than standard pumps, but you should still check it weekly to prevent suction side stress.
- Commercial Flexibility: If using on a commercial site with 460V power, ensure the internal wiring is correctly jumped for high-voltage before applying power to the terminal block.
- Airtight Seal: Keep the lid O-ring clean and lubricated with a silicone-based pool lube. With a 5 HP draw, even a tiny air leak can prevent the pump from reaching full prime.
