Warnings and Disclaimers

  • Irritant: May cause serious eye damage and skin irritation. Wear gloves and eye protection during use.
  • Dust Hazard: Can form combustible dust in air. Avoid creating aerosols or dust clouds in poorly ventilated areas.
  • Overdose Risk: Highly concentrated; do not exceed recommended dosage as it may restrict water flow prematurely.
  • Filter Cycles: Initial filter runs may be shorter as the media removes finer debris than previous methods.
  • Disposal: Backwash only in accordance with local and state environmental regulations.

Application & Pro-Tips

  • Create a Slurry: Always mix the powder into a bucket of water before slowly pouring into the skimmer.
  • Clean Start: Always start with a freshly cleaned filter and record the baseline "clean" PSI.
  • Sand Filter Tip: For sand filters, add only 3 oz at a time (max 9 oz total) to avoid excessive pressure rise.
  • Oily Waste: Combine with an enzyme treatment to digest oils and further extend the time between cleanings.
  • Metal Capture: Highly effective at trapping metallic particles and fine pollen that bypass standard sand media.
