Product Description
The Pentair SuperFlo High Performance Pump is the industry standard for reliable, efficient circulation in small to medium-sized pools. Featuring a 1.1 Total Horsepower (THP) motor, this single-speed pump is designed to move water more effectively while operating at a lower cost than competing models. Its heavy-duty construction and high-flow hydraulics make it the ideal choice for new installations or as a direct replacement for Hayward Super Pumps.

Warnings and Disclaimers
- Electrical Safety: This pump must be installed by a licensed electrician. Ensure the circuit is protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) to prevent electrical shock hazards.
- Entrapment Prevention: All suction outlets must have VGB-compliant covers. Never operate the pump if a suction cover is loose, cracked, or missing.
- Dry Run Warning: Do not run the pump without water in the strainer pot. Operating dry will cause the shaft seal to fail within seconds and may melt internal plastic components.
- Pressure Hazard: Always relieve system pressure at the filter's air relief valve before opening the Cam and Ramp™ lid. Failing to do so can cause the lid to fly off under pressure, potentially causing injury.
- Hayward Retrofit: If you are replacing a Hayward Super Pump, the SuperFlo’s plumbing height and footprint are almost identical, often allowing for a "no-cut" swap in many configurations.
- Easy Priming: After cleaning the basket, fill the strainer pot to the top with water before sealing the lid. This significantly reduces the time the motor spends dry-running while trying to pull a prime.
- Lid Maintenance: Apply a silicone-based pool lubricant to the lid O-ring every season. This prevents air leaks that cause the pump to surge and protects the plastic from becoming brittle.
- Winterization: If you live in a freezing climate, use the two drain plugs at the bottom of the pump body to fully empty the water before the first freeze to prevent the housing from cracking.
