What installation covers
Pool Pump Installation Option Details: Covers replacement of an existing pool pump only. Includes up to 5 feet of pipe and 4 fittings for plumbing connections. Electrical work includes connection to the existing electrical cable only — does not include rewiring or running a new cable. Service available in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe counties. (Please note that installation costs are not included in the equipment price. Installation services are sold separately.)

Warnings and Disclaimers
- Electrical Hazard: Requires a dedicated 230V circuit protected by a 20A GFCI breaker. Wiring must be performed by a licensed professional to ensure compliance with NEC safety standards.
- Plumbing Sizing: Due to the "Extra Flow" hydraulic design, suction lines smaller than 2.5" may cause excessive noise or cavitation. Use 2.5" or 3" plumbing for optimal high-volume performance.
- Entrapment Prevention: This is a high-performance pump. All pool suction outlets must be equipped with approved VGB-compliant covers to prevent the risk of hair or limb entrapment.
- Freeze Protection: While the pump has built-in freeze protection, it only works if the pump has continuous power and is not in "Service Mode." In extreme climates, the unit should be drained to prevent cracking.
- Set the Flow, Not the RPM: For the best experience, program the pump using **Gallons Per Minute (GPM)** rather than RPM. This ensures your heater and salt cell always receive the exact flow they need regardless of filter condition.
- Check the Union Seals: The XF series uses specific diamond-seal unions. Always inspect and lubricate these O-rings with a silicone-based pool lubricant to prevent suction leaks that can cause the pump to lose prime.
- Heater Efficiency: If you have a gas heater, find the minimum GPM required to keep the pressure switch engaged. Running the VSF at exactly that flow rate will maximize your energy savings while keeping the pool warm.
- Digital Display: If you are connecting this to an automation system, the pump's keypad will go into "Display Not Active" mode. This is normal; all control has been handed over to the main automation panel.
