Safety Warnings & Critical Handling

Explosion Hazard: NEVER attempt to loosen or tighten this ring while the pump is running or the tank is under pressure. Always bleed air through the relief valve until the gauge reads zero.
No Power Tools: Never use a mallet, hammer, or pry bar to tighten. Over-torquing can cause plastic threads to "jump" or crack, leading to catastrophic tank failure.
Heat Damage: If the pump has run dry and water in the tank is hot, let the system cool completely before turning. Heat expansion can lock the threads in place.
💡 Pro-Tips for System Integrity
  • Lube the Threads: Apply a light film of silicone-based lubricant to the bottom tank threads before installation. This makes future removal significantly easier.
  • The "Double Hand" Twist: Use both hands on opposite sides to ensure even downward pressure and prevent permanent cross-threading damage.
  • Center the Lid: If the ring sticks after one turn, the lid isn't sitting flat. Remove the ring, realign the lid on the O-ring, and try again.
  • System Pressure: If your ring cracked spontaneously, check for pressure spikes above 30 PSI, which can fatigue the reinforced plastic over time.
Product Note: Includes the Threaded Locking Nut only. Tank O-rings, upper lids, and bottom tank bases are sold separately.

User Disclaimer: Proper equipment maintenance is the owner's responsibility. Inspect the ring regularly for cracks or stress whitening. Always refer to your specific filter manufacturer's manual for safety protocols.
