Key Features & Performance

Backflow Prevention: The 2 ½"-3" 180 Degree Check Valve is an essential component for preventing backflow in pool and spa systems.

Chemical & Wear Resistant Construction: Constructed from durable CPVC, this valve resists pool chemicals and environmental wear, ensuring reliable, long-term performance.

Flexible 180° Design: Its 180-degree design offers flexibility in installation, while the clear lid allows for easy inspection without dismantling the valve.

Positive Seal, Spring-Loaded Flapper: With a positive seal and spring-loaded flapper, this valve ensures smooth, effective operation, keeping your pool's circulation system intact and efficient.

Dual Pipe-Size Compatibility: One valve body accommodates both 2½" pipe (slip-fit) and 3" pipe (via a pipe coupling, 45° elbow, or 90° elbow), reducing the need for multiple part numbers.

Installation & Compatibility

Orientation Matters: The Check Valve can be installed in horizontal piping runs or vertical piping runs with the flow running upward; improper orientation on vertical installs can result in property damage.
Remove Internals Before Gluing: The internal valve assembly must be removed prior to gluing the valve body to pipe fittings, and care must be taken so no glue enters the valve body beyond the ports.
Use Recommended Cement: Weld-On 724 CPVC Gray is the recommended solvent cement for bonding this valve to CPVC pipe and fittings.
Not for Air Blower Use: This Check Valve is not designed for use with air blowers.
Mount at Lowest Elevation: For optimal sealing performance, locate the Check Valve at the lowest elevation possible in the plumbing; a minimum of 16" of water column is recommended so the weight of the water column helps seal the valve.
