The PX100S is a 100 W stainless steel safety transformer built to step down 120 VAC input to a selectable 12, 13, or 14 VAC output for underwater pool and spa lighting as well as landscape lighting circuits. Its non-magnetic stainless steel enclosure is designed to resist the humidity, heat, and chemical exposure typical around pools and spas while operating with reduced audible hum. Built-in automatic-reset circuit protection and a shielded, vacuum-impregnated winding design help ensure safe, reliable, low-maintenance operation.

Installation & Compatibility
  • NEC 680.23 Compliance: This transformer complies with NEC Code 680.23 requirements for underwater luminaries, making it suitable for direct connection to underwater pool and spa lights.
  • Mounting: Mounting brackets are provided on the top and bottom of the enclosure for secure installation.
  • Wire Sizing: Select wire gauge based on cable run length and load using the manufacturer's voltage/wire-gauge selection chart; a minimum of 16 AWG is required for the 100 W transformer, and low-voltage cable must be buried a maximum of 6 inches when used for landscape lighting runs.
  • Do Not Submerge: The transformer must never be submerged, and maximum ratings of individual components, wiring devices, and conductor current-carrying capacity must not be exceeded.
  • Optional Noise Filter: An RC snubber noise filter accessory (part number ET-NF) is available separately to reduce electronic noise and interference in low-voltage lighting applications.
