E-Z Weld 211 Enviro Clear Primer - PVC/CPVC

E-Z Weld 211 Enviro Primer is a clear, low-VOC solvent blend formulated to soften and swell PVC and CPVC pipe and fitting surfaces before solvent cementing. Penetrating deep into the plastic, it preps the joint surface so cement bonds stronger and more reliably, especially on pipe larger than 3" in diameter. This 32 oz quart can works on all schedules and sizes, from Schedule 40 up to 12" to Schedule 80 up to 30", and is rated for use in temperatures from -10°F to 110°F. It's NSF/ANSI-listed for potable water systems and commonly used in pool, spa, irrigation, and plumbing installations.

Deep-Penetration Formula: E-Z Weld Clear Primer is a special blend of Solvents formulated to soften and swell PVC and CPVC Pipes and Fittings, and it penetrates the surface of the pipe and fitting to be joined to provide a stronger joint.

Recommended for Large Diameter Pipe: It is highly recommended that primer should be used on the installation of larger than 3" diameter, and is rated for SCH 40 pipe up to 12" and SCH 80 pipe up to 30".

Certified & Code-Listed: This product is tested, certified and approved by NSF International for use on potable water and DWV systems, listed by IAPMO, carries the UPC seal, and meets ASTM Standard F656.

Low VOC Formula: Formulated as a low-VOC primer, with a maximum VOC content per SCAQMD Rule 1168, Test Method 316A of ≤ 398 g/L (applied VOC content per the SDS is listed as ≤ 550 g/L).

Batch-Tested Quality Assurance: Every batch of primer is carefully checked and monitored to assure consistently high-quality standards, with records kept of every batch and all ingredients purchased from approved suppliers.

Installation & Compatibility

Applicator: Apply a liberal coat to the outer surface of the pipe end and the inner surface of the fitting socket using the dauber supplied with the can, or another suitable applicator; do not puddle primer into the socket.
Cement Timing: Apply cement according to the instructions on the cement label while the primer is still wet, and always follow the instructions on the product label.
Universal Pipe Compatibility: May be used on all PVC and CPVC pipes and fittings, in all sizes and all schedules.
Cap Style: Pint and Quart cans are supplied with a dauber built into the cap; Gallon-size cans are supplied with a plain cap only (dauber cap availability for the QP and HP sizes should be verified with the manufacturer).
Do Not Wipe Off: Unlike pipe cleaner, do not wipe off primer after application - proceed directly to applying cement while the surface is still wet.
