Product Description

The CMP (Custom Molded Products) Double Tee Gunite Jet Body is a core component used by pool builders during the construction of gunite or concrete spas and pools. This "white goods" plumbing fitting is specifically designed to manage water flow and facilitate air injection for spa jets.

The configuration of this particular model is 1.5" Socket (S) inlets for connecting water lines and a 1.5" Spigot (SPG) outlet. This design allows two water lines to converge or for water return and air lines to combine efficiently into a single wall fitting. It is made from durable, corrosion-resistant pool-grade plastic to ensure longevity and reliability.

Key Performance Features

  • Essential Gunite Component: A standard, durable fitting required for integrating spa jets into gunite and concrete pool structures.
  • Dual-Flow Functionality: Designed to combine water input and air injection lines within a single, streamlined body.
  • Specific Connection Types: Features two 1.5" Socket (S) ports for PVC pipe insertion and one 1.5" Spigot (SPG) port for a secure connection to a wall fitting or nozzle extension.
  • Trusted Brand: Manufactured by CMP, a leader in reliable pool and spa plumbing components and "white goods".
  • Prevents Leaks: Includes necessary mounting screws and a design engineered for a secure, watertight installation within the pool wall structure.

Warnings and Disclaimers

  • Installation: This fitting is designed to be embedded in concrete/gunite. It requires professional installation to be leak-proof and functional, often needing a wet niche form.
  • Pressure Limitations: Ensure the system's operating pressure remains within standard residential limits (typically under 30 PSI) to prevent damage to the embedded plumbing and seals.
  • Compatibility: This is the jet body only. It requires corresponding "slip" fittings for plumbing connections and accepts specific jet internals (sold separately).
  • Warranty: Improper installation that leads to leaks after plastering is typically not covered by manufacturer warranty.

Pro Tips

  • Air & Water: This double tee design is ideal for robust spa jets, as the extra port allows for a dedicated air line to maximize the venturi effect.
  • Plaster Alignment: Ensure the front face of the fitting is perfectly flush with the *rough* pool shell surface to allow the final plaster or finish to seat correctly with the decorative trim ring.
  • Internal Selection: The type of jet internal you insert determines the water flow pattern (e.g., directional, rotating, massage). Choose the correct internal based on the desired spa experience.
