The AM-C-9419 is the heavy-duty replacement for the Pentair Clean & Clear 200 and Predator 200 systems. It is a massive 200 sq. ft. cartridge designed to handle high-flow pumps and large residential pools.

- High-Flow Core: Specifically designed to match the Pentair Predator’s high-velocity internal plumbing, reducing "backpressure" that can cause pump motor overheating.
- Reinforced Pleat Bands: Because this cartridge is over 31 inches long, it features extra-strength support bands to prevent the pleats from "bellowing" or fluttering under high-flow 2HP+ pumps.
- Antimicrobial End Caps: The blue end caps are treated to resist mold and mildew growth during the off-season or during long filtration cycles.
- Point-Bonded Media: The 4oz fabric is thermally bonded to trap ultra-fine particles (20 microns) while allowing water to pass through with minimal resistance.

⚠️ Critical Safety & System Warnings
EXPLOSION HAZARD: The Pentair 200 is a high-pressure vessel. Never touch the tension clamp while the pump is running. Bleed air until the gauge hits 0 PSI before servicing.
TENSION BOLT SAFETY: Ensure the brass nut is tightened until the spring coils touch. A loose spring can cause the lid to blow off under pressure.
CHEMICAL CLOGGING: If using Pool Floc or Alum, remove the cartridge first. These chemicals create a permanent jelly in the fabric that ruins the filter.
💡 Pentair 200 sq. ft. Professional Tips
- Spring Seating: Ensure the 31-inch cartridge sits perfectly on the bottom collector hub. If tilted, the heavy tank lid will crush the cartridge top during tightening.
- Air Bleed Check: Ensure the internal Air Bleed Tube is clear. A clogged tube causes air traps that make the cartridge bounce, leading to manifold cracks.
- Lube the Tank O-Ring: Every time you open the tank, lubricate the 154492 Tank O-Ring. Dry rings cause false pressure readings and difficult lid removal.
- Cleaning Interval: Clean every 2 weeks during peak season for pools 20,000+ gallons to maintain optimal flow and prevent pump motor overheating.
