PRESSURE EXPLOSION HAZARD: Air trapped in a filter can be dangerous. Never stand directly over the filter tank when starting the pump or opening the release valve. Improper venting can cause catastrophic tank failure.
HAND TIGHTEN ONLY: Excessive force with a wrench or pliers can crack the plastic manifold or strip the brass threads of the gauge. Hand-tighten until snug to avoid permanent equipment damage.
CALIBRATION CHECK: If the gauge does not return to "0" when the pump is powered off, the internal mechanism is clogged or broken. Replace immediately for accurate pressure monitoring.
💡 Professional Tips for Success
- The 10 PSI Rule: Mark your gauge when the filter is clean. Once pressure rises 8-10 PSI above that point, it is time to backwash or clean your cartridges.
