- Conduit Separation: Do NOT run this low-voltage cable in the same conduit as 120V/240V power wires. Electrical noise will cause communication failure.
- Polarity Sensitive: Ensure Yellow (Pin 3) and Green (Pin 2) are correctly landed on the [RS-485 COM port](https://www.pentair.com). Reversing wires prevents pump control.
- Weatherproofing: Ensure the drive cover gasket is clean and the cable grommet is tightened to prevent water intrusion into the electronics.
