- Electrical Shock Hazard: Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician. Ensure the unit is properly bonded and wired to the load side of the pump timer to prevent gas buildup.
- Explosion Hazard: Never operate the system without confirmed water flow. Operating a salt cell without flow can result in a dangerous explosion due to hydrogen gas accumulation within the plumbing.
- Chemistry Balance: Salt systems rely on proper pH, Alkalinity, and Cyanuric Acid levels. High pH will drastically reduce the effectiveness of the chlorine produced and may lead to rapid scaling.
- Cold Water Shutdown: This unit will stop chlorine production when water temperatures drop below approximately 51�F (11�C) to protect the salt cell from damage.
- Tri-Sensor Maintenance: If the unit displays a "No Flow" error but the pump is running, carefully remove and clean the Tri-Sensor. Calcium buildup on the sensor blades is the most common cause of false errors.
- Boost Mode: Use the "Boost" feature after heavy rain or a large pool party to temporarily increase chlorine production to 100% for a full 24-hour cycle.
- Salinity Accuracy: Always verify your salt levels with manual test strips before adding salt. The digital display is a reference tool, but manual testing ensures you don't over-salt your pool.
- Service Status: Check the "Service" indicator on the display. If it blinks with an error code (like 121 or 123), refer to your troubleshooting manual immediately to identify if the issue is the cell or the power pack electronics.
