Product Description
Master your water chemistry with the professional-grade power of Granular Trichlor 90. This 50 lb bucket contains highly concentrated 99% Trichloro-S-Triazinetrione, providing a minimum of 90% available chlorine. Unlike standard shocks, this formula is UV-stabilized with built-in cyanuric acid, preventing the sun's rays from burning off your chlorine residual and ensuring long-lasting protection.
Designed for heavy-duty sanitation and targeted algae destruction, these granules are particularly effective as a spot treatment for black algae on white plaster and aggregate pool surfaces. The slow-dissolving nature of the granules allows them to sink directly to the pool floor to attack stubborn algae at the source. Because it contains no calcium, it is an ideal choice for areas with hard water, preventing scale buildup and maintaining crystal-clear clarity.
Key Features

- Cost-Effective Bulk Size: The 50 lb commercial-grade pail offers the best value for long-term maintenance of large residential and commercial pools.

⚠️ Warnings and Disclaimers
- DANGER: Highly corrosive. Causes irreversible eye damage and skin burns. May be fatal if swallowed or inhaled.
- Strong Oxidizer: Contact with moisture, dirt, or other chemicals (especially other chlorine types) may start a chemical reaction with heat, fire, or explosion.
- Vinyl Liner Warning: Granular Trichlor is slow-dissolving and can bleach or damage vinyl liners if allowed to sit on the bottom.
- Toxic Gas: Do not mix with other chemicals. Mixing with ammonia or acids will release hazardous toxic gases.
💡 Professional Tips
- Black Algae Treatment: This product is highly effective as a "spot treatment" for black algae on white plaster/gunite pools. Brush the area first, then pour granules directly onto the spots.
- The "Bucket" Rule: Never add water to this product. Always add the product to a bucket already filled with water to pre-dissolve and prevent "splash back" reactions.
- CYA Monitoring: Because this is stabilized chlorine, it adds Cyanuric Acid (CYA) to your water. Every 1lb of Trichlor adds roughly 0.6 ppm of CYA to a 10,000-gallon pool. Monitor levels to avoid "chlorine lock."
- Equipment Protection: Never put granular Trichlor directly into the skimmer, as its high acidity can corrode metal components in your pump and filter system over time.
