Safety Warnings & Operation
- Optimal Flow: Maintain water flow within the 20-70 GPM range. Using an [External Bypass Valve](https://www.jandy.com) is recommended for pumps that exceed 70 GPM to prevent erosion of the titanium tubes.
- Condensation: Heat pumps produce significant condensation (up to several gallons per hour). This is normal. Ensure the equipment pad is level to allow for proper drainage.
- Retention: Using a solar cover at night can retain up to 70% of the heat generated, significantly reducing monthly energy costs.
- Cleaning: Gently rinse the evaporator coil with a garden hose annually to remove dust and debris. Do not use high-pressure washers as they will flatten the delicate aluminum fins.
