- Cloudiness: Product causes temporary cloudiness (a few hours to a few days), which indicates performance and the formation of a fine precipitate.
- Filter Pressure: The fine precipitate can cause rapid increases in filter pressure. Do not exceed the recommended maximum dose of 8 fl. oz. per 10,000 gallons for normal treatment in a single application.
- Ingestion: May cause stomach distress if swallowed; do not induce vomiting. Obtain medical attention.
- Handling: In concentrated form, it can cause skin and eye irritation. Wash thoroughly after handling and wear protective eyewear/gloves.
- Algae Status: Algae must be treated with a shock dose of chlorine prior to using this product, as killing algae rapidly releases phosphates.

- Dosing: Use a measuring cup; 8 fl. oz. removes up to 2500 ppb of phosphates in 10,000 gallons. A little goes a long way.
