Product Description
The Pentair Clean & Clear® Plus Cartridge Filter Series (320, 420, and 520 Sq. Ft.) provides high-capacity, low-maintenance filtration for large residential and commercial pools. Featuring a four-cartridge system, these filters offer massive surface area to trap fine debris without the need for backwashing. Housed in a durable, chemical-resistant fiberglass tank, the Clean & Clear Plus ensures crystal-clear water and maximum flow rates with significantly longer cycles between cleanings.
Key Features
- Four-Cartridge Array: Maximizes dirt-holding capacity (320, 420, or 520 sq. ft.) to extend the time between manual cleanings.
- Superior Water Clarity: Traps finer particles than sand filters for a noticeably more polished, sparkling pool.
- Water-Saving Design: Eliminates backwashing; simply rinse the cartridges with a hose to save thousands of gallons annually.
- Fiberglass Reinforced Tank: Heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant construction with a secure tension-control clamp for a leak-proof seal.
- High-Flow™ Air Relief: Manual air relief valve and internal air bypass prevent pressure buildup and maintain peak performance.
- Standard 2" Plumbing: Designed for high-volume circulation and easy installation on any modern equipment pad.

Warnings and Disclaimers
- High Pressure Hazard: This system operates under pressure. Failure to bleed air via the Manual Air Relief Valve before maintenance can cause the lid to separate with explosive force.
- Clamp Safety: Never tighten or loosen the Tank Clamp Band while the pump is running or the system is pressurized.
- Chemical Warning: Do not add chemicals directly into the skimmer as high concentrations can damage filter elements and internal components.
- Check the Gauge: Clean the cartridges once pressure increases 10 PSI over the "clean" baseline reading.
- Use Silicone Lube: Always apply a silicone-based lubricant to the tank O-ring to prevent dry-rotting and ensure a water-tight seal.
- Vertical Clearance: Ensure you have at least 30" of vertical clearance above the filter to allow for cartridge removal during cleaning.
